Q: What is better than a beautiful Eastern European old town square?
A: An insanely beautifully decorated Eastern European old town square with a Christmas market in full swing & a giant Christmas tree that puts on a light show for you every evening!
By now you probably know that I have a soft spot for old towns and although I had been to Prague before - in April 2005 on a college trip - I had no idea how amazing this place would be during the festive season! There wasn't just one Christmas market. No, there was the main one in the old town square, another one at the bottom of Wenceslas Square and a third one up at the castle - just so that you don't run out of mulled wine and Trdelnik (a Czech type of sweet pastry) while sightseeing.
I'll save the touristy side of Prague for another post (spoiler alert: there will be cats!).
For now I'll just show you how incredibly pretty the city can be at this time of the year.
So if you don't have any plans for Christmas 2017 yet you might get some ideas here... ;)
